What material sleeves can be used with stainless steel cable?
Stainless steel sleeves and all copper sleeves can be used with stainless steel cable. Zinc-plating copper sleeves prevent the copper from diminishing. Aluminum sleeves also work with stainless steel cable but only for use in mild environments.
What material sleeves can be used with galvanized aircraft cable?
Aluminum sleeves and all types of copper sleeves can be used with galvanized aircraft cable.
Are custom sleeves available?
Sleeves can be made to order in custom lengths. Three custom length sleeves are currently in stock: aluminum 5/16” cable sleeve x 1” length (part # 516AS), aluminum 3/8” cable sleeve x 1” length (part # 381AS) and aluminum 3/16” cable sleeve x 11/16” length (part # 142).
Combination sleeves can also be made to order. A combo sleeve accommodates two different sized cables in a single sleeve. For example, Lexco has sold an aluminum 1/8” x 1/16” combo sleeve size (part # 18X116CAS) and an aluminum 3/16” x 1/8” combo sleeve size (part # 316X18CAS ).
